a dance performance for three dancers: benni, morten and peter. premiere øyslebø menighetshus and subsequent showings in the southern region, june 2026.
Romanticist is a project in which I am very interested in the relationship between a place and dance, and the surroundings and the studio. I want the performance to incorporate the paths, the lakes we swim in, the river and the forest. How can these markers in the landscape and the experiences we have there be evoked in dance, and in what ways does the place shape the process?

I am interested in ideas related to seeing and being seen, and a form of sensibility that can lead into the unknown. In the preliminary project, I want to create a zone or laboratory where I can play with control, states, stage tricks, and where I can create space to act unpredictably and strangely. I want to build a character, a kind of fairy-tale figure, with different abilities and capacities than myself, who can tap into the power of the unspeakable and unknown. A zone where the embodiment of something unexpected can emerge.
