bio:
Grows up in a small village in Norway and starts dancing at the age of 4 in Mandal before moving to Kristiansand at the age of 16 to study at Sharron’s Dance Studio. Starts her undergraduate studies in London at the age of 19 at Bird College where she is studying Musical Theater. Later changes education to contemporary dance at Trinity Laban where she finishes her undergraduate studies with a BA (Hons) in 2010. Works for choreographers and in various groups and collectives based in the Nordic region before moving to Berlin in 2013. Starts working as a performer for various choreographers in Berlin and Hamburg before doing her MA studies in choreography at Stockholm University of the Arts. Lives in Stockholm for 4 years before moving to Norway late 2023 and finally relocates to Oslo early 2024.
Sunniva has spent most of her working life as a performer for choreographers and enjoys being part of an artistic team realizing a vision, and common ideas. Lately she has started developing her own works across a range of disciplines: dance, text and film.
